PICHWAI

Pichwai is a traditional art form practiced in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. It is an intricate painting that depicts theatrical scenes from Lord Krishna’s life, typically hung behind the sanctum of his own Shrinathji Temple.

Pichwai was originally designed to create a devotional atmosphere for the daily ‘shringaar’ of the god. For various festivals and celebrations, a different Pichwai was painted by the devotees.

This workshop focuses on understanding the key elements of Pichwai painting like its theme, colors, motifs etc and to transcribe them into the contemporary look and feel.

(Rosemaling is a style of decorative painting on wood that uses flower ornamentation and geometric elements, often in flowing patterns.)

Most of the traditional Artworks object from nature. Animals, birds, trees, plants, and flowers are the main focus.

WARLI ART WORKSHOP

What is the Warli Art?

It is a style of tribal art mostly created by the tribal people from the North Sahyadri Range in India.

It includes the formation of art by using the basic shapes- circle, square, triangle.

GOND ART

Dots, dashes, lines that make you lose direction, and bright colours that carefully fill the mindscape, such is the beauty of a Gond painting. Practiced by the Gondi people, this folk art derives its name from the Dravidian expression, Kond which means ‘the green mountain’. Nature is the biggest influencer with trees, birds, animals often playing the lead. Moreover, the artists depend on natural objects like charcoal, cow dung, leaves, sap to obtain natural colours. FLUID ART

Fluid painting is a fun art technique that uses thin paints to create one of a kind pieces without traditional brushwork. Paint is applied to a canvas by pouring, sprinkling, or other dynamic methods.

– You will learn different techniques of acrylic pouring using poring medium.

– The end result is a beautiful and sometimes unexpected designs in front of you.

RESIN

Resin is a unique compound of chemicals that hardens to form a more durable material. Resin can solidify by adding a hardener or by exposing it to UV light, depending on the type of resin you choose. The synthetic substance can be used to create objects from molds or be added to a piece of artwork to protect it from wear.

There are four types of resin that are used to create art: epoxy, polyurethane, silicone and polyester “fiberglass” resin. Each one is best suited for a specific type of medium. To create jewelry and other objects using molds, epoxy resin is the best option and the easiest to use for beginners.

Doodle art is sometimes capable of reassuring its creator. The more the work is made with feeling, the more exciting work produced. It makes this kind of work is not just a mere drawing activity, but also has depth of meaning and style.

Doodle Art also has its own history. Have you heard about the cave painting? it’s one of the oldest style of doodle art, long before anyone even knew the letters and writings, in which doodling as a tool to tell a story from generation to generation.
